We love berries in the Coal Valley!
Littlewood Berry Farm is a family favourite of ours. There really is nothing quite like eating fresh strawberries the same day they are picked.
The patch is on the main road between Cambridge and Richmond, it’s an easy day trip from Hobart. There’s an adorable hut to welcome you where the super friendly staff hang out, scoop ice cream and weigh your berries. They are happy to for you to bring your own containers too. You can spend some time at the patch after you’ve picked your strawberries. There’s picnic tables, loos, and play equipment, so you can make a lovely morning of it.
Littlewood opens for community events like the Open Vineyard Weekend in March each year and for twilight picking evenings through the summer. The best way to stay in the loop with opening times is to keep and eye on their Facebook page.

You can pick your own strawberries, or pick up a punnet at the farm gate.

They have Valhalla ice cream and sorbet (made with their strawberries!) available at the farm gate.

You can also get local jams, sauces, honey and other fresh produce like cherries when they’re in season.
